Gov. Palin Unhinges Leftist Loons

Leftist loons are working overtime trying to find something to smear Governor Sarah Palin on.

Their efforts rage from an investigation on the dismissal of an Alaskan state trooper. (You can leave now, folks. Nothing there.) They've jumped on her so-called "inexperience," which has backfired on Obama as he has even less experience and, he's running for president. One blog, the wacko Daily KOS, started a smear, that other leftist blogs jumped on, involving Palin's 16-year-old daughter Bristol. They are claiming that Palin's baby Trig is actually her daughter's. Not true, but some so-called news outlets have also carried the story. The responsible ones are stating that it is nothing but a smear by leftist Democrat bloggers.

They've also tried to say that Palin lied about her killing of the "bridge to nowhere." This is also bogus as I have dug up and posted quotes (elsewhere in this blog) from ABC News and from Townhall.com from their September 2007 articles confirming that Palin did indeed kill the bridge project.

As talk-show host Mike Gallagher put it:

Dems have plenty to worry about and it shouldn't have anything to do with the weather. They know that trying to come up with something -- anything -- to smear Gov. Palin is going to come up woefully short. Reading Maureen Dowd in the New York Times call her a governor of "an oversized igloo" today made me laugh out loud. I realize that being a governor pales in comparison to the credentials of a Chicago "community organizer", Ms. Dowd, but you really ought to try and hide your angst over McCain's brilliant choice.

They didn't stop at Palin. They've even rejoiced over the approach of Hurricane Gustav in the Gulf Coast, hoping that it would remind people of Katrina and spoil the GOP National Convention in Minneapolis this week. Former DNC Chairman Don Fowler was recorded on a flight gleefully talking about Gustav hitting right at the start of the GOP convention, to which he later gave a lame apology.

Yes, the lunatics of the Democrat Left have become unglued over the fact that Governor Palin's selection has given John McCain a fighting chance to win this election in November. When they become unhinged, that's when they get hilarious.

As Mike Gallagher put it:

They're scared, all right. Big time.

They weren't through basking in the well-deserved praise of Sen. Obama's Denver Temple Mount speech before John McCain came along and popped their big balloon with a huge pin from Alaska.

And now, the only thing that could possibly stifle the momentum, they figure, would be a horrific hurricane.

They go from blaming George W. Bush for Katrina to hoping for another one that might diminish the GOP convention. Sad.

Sad indeed! (But hilarious.)

Sen. Obama has issued a statement that I fully agree with:

"I have said before and I will repeat again: People's families are off limits," Obama said. "And people's children are especially off-limits. This shouldn't be part of our politics. It has no relevance to Gov. Palin's performance as a governor or her potential performance as a vice president. So I would strongly urge people to back off these kinds of stories. You know my mother had me when she was 18 and how a family deals with issues and teenage children, that shouldn’t be a topic of our politics."

On charges that his campaign has stoked the story via liberal blogs:

"I am offended by that statement. There is no evidence at all that any of this involved us," he said. "Our people were not involved in any way in this, and they will not be. And if I thought there was somebody in my campaign who was involved in something like that, they would be fired."
