Toho Co. (9602 JT): The movie distributor’s full-year net income declined more than expected to 2.2 billion yen from 7.29 billion yen a year earlier, pared by charges on devalued stockholdings, the company said in a preliminary earnings statement. The profit was 50 percent lower than the company’s forecast. The stock slid 0.2 percent to 1,372 yen.
Toho is not alone as other Japanese companies have also seen declines this year.
