Former High School Teacher May Have Found Missing Jet

A group headed by a former high school teacher of mine found what may be a missing Lockheed T-33A training jet that became missing 54 years ago.

Fox News.com reported:

LOS ANGELES — Military officials are investigating a historian's report that the wreckage of an Air Force jet lost at sea 54 years ago has been found off the Southern California coast.

A volunteer group headed by amateur historian Pat Macha claims it found debris of the Lockheed-Martin T-33A that went missing on Oct. 15, 1955.

Macha was a history and aerospace teacher of mine at Hawthorne High School. His group of aviation crash site finders located other planes in the past.

Macha looks the same to me as he did when I was one of his students, except he had a mustache back then.
