Possible Ad In "Japan Up!" Magazine

After returning home from a delicious sushi dinner tonight, I found a message from Japan Up! magazine.

They indicated that they are planning Japan travel feature story for their May issue and that The Monster Movie Fan's Guide To Japan would be a good advertising fit.

Japan Up! is a free monthly magazine on "Japanese Cuisine and Trends" that is available at distribution points in the Los Angeles area (Greater Los Angeles area including Orange County, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica and South Bay areas) including large supermarket chains, ethnic grocers, popular restaurants and beauty salons. Their circulation is 42,000/month.

For those of you outside of Los Angeles and not familiar with Japan Up!, here's their description of the magazine:

Los Angeles's FIRST free monthly English publication aimed at introducing the Japan and real authentic Japanese cuisine and people living in the Greater Los Angeles area who have an interest in Japanese culture.

'JapanUp!' had debut July 1, 2007. 'JapanUp!' provides informative articles about the latest trends, in food, culture, and entertainment coming out of Japan. Additionally 'JapanUp!' shares the latest information about Japanese related businesses in the greater Los Angeles area and offer details about the latest Japanese restaurants, Japanese food recipes, Japanese fashion, Japanese cosmetics and beauty tips.

When I was working in Malibu last year, I picked up a copy every month at Pavilion's Market. I've found the magazine quite useful, especially while I was planning last December's trip to Japan. They've recently started a sister publication called Hawaii Up!

They said they would provide advertising price quotes. I will make a decision on whether to put an ad in once their advertising rate quotes are received.
