Godaido Temple Appears To Have Survived

Above, Armand in front of Godaido Temple in Matsushima Bay in 2006.

This is possibly good news:

An anonymous poster at P. L. Healey's blog on Matsushima Bay posted this link to a photo of the Godaido Temple area: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ellockie/5518585411/.

Here, it is difficult to make out but it appears that the Godaido Temple in the foreground is still standing on its rock with the buildings in the background sitting on several feet of water following the tsunami that struck after the March 11 9.0 earthquake.

I will try to get more confirmation that the Godaido and Zuiganji Temples have survived.
