Jonathan Frid Honored At Daytime Emmys Ceremony

The Dark Shadows News blog reported on a number of items in connection to the 1960s classic soap opera (or spook opera).

One of which was this item:
  • The recent 39th Daytime Emmys paid tribute to departed Dark Shadows star Jonathan Frid (Barnabas Collins) as part of last Saturday's awards ceremony. Jonathan was included in the traditional In Memoriam montage, represented with a photograph from House of Dark Shadows.
This was nice to hear.  I was wondering if the Daytime Emmys would honor Frid or if any of the daytime soap opera magazines would carry any articles (so far, I haven't heard of any).  At least the Emmys came through.

The blog has other news, including one that says 40 episodes are now available for viewing online.

I wonder if next year's Academy Awards show will also include Jonathan Frid in their memorial montage.  I won't hold my breath on that one.
