Nakajima Autograph Limitations For Days of the Dead Convention

Okay:

Party Convention.  Large items like this are okay.  Photoby Armand Vaquer.

Regarding Haruo Nakajima's appearance at the Days of the Dead convention, due to his eye problems, he will be unable to sign small items (such as toy figures) that only have tiny spaces of room to sign.

...Not Okay:

He will be able to sign large items such as photographs, DVD cases and posters.  We will also have to limit them to two items per person as some fans at other conventions brought large quantities of items to sign.  This caused a huge backup in the line to his autograph table. It isn't fair to make people wait for long periods in line given the limitation of autograph time. More people will be able to get autographs a lot quicker.

Also, he will be available for all three days at the convention, but due to his age (84), we have to limit his autograph time to a two hour session in the morning and a two hour session in the afternoon each day.

He is excited about attending and meeting his fans in Indianapolis. Although he does pretty well for a man his age, we don't want to overtax his energies either.

This is just a "head's up" so attendees won't be lugging stuff that will add weight to their luggage now that the airlines are gouging people for extra weight in check-in luggage.

Your understanding and cooperation are appreciated.
