Keisei Skyliner

My plans to get to Tokyo from the Narita International Airport were thwarted by the snowstorm that hit on the night of February 8. My plan was to try out the Keisei Skyliner to get from the airport to Keisei Ueno Station as I was staying in Ueno this time (my usual hotel, the Hotel Asia Center of Japan was fully booked up that week). I have used the Keisei Line and the Narita Express in the past to get into Tokyo, so I wanted to try out the Skyliner. Unfortunately, the snowstorm forced the cancellation of the Skyliner (and, eventually, all trains and limousine bus services from the airport) that night.

During normal weather, the Keisei Skyliner boasts a 41-minute ride from the airport to Ueno. The cost per passenger is ¥2,400 (which is ¥1,200 for fare with an additional ¥1,200 for the Skyliner), which is roughly $24.00 US.

The Keisei Skyliner is part of the the Keisei Electric Railway Co. They also have regular trains from Narita to Tokyo.

Perhaps on a future trip (one during a season with more moderate weather), I will give the Skyliner a try.
