Kinkaku-ji Under A Blanket of Snow

Above, Kinkaku-ji Golden Pavilion in Kyoto. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

While in Kyoto in 2004, I took the above photo of the Kinkaku-ji Golden Pavilion.

This past week, much of Japan has been hit by heavy snowstorms. Kyoto wasn't spared from getting dusted by snows, but when Kyoto does get hit by a snowstorm, it makes for postcard-perfect photographs.

Rocket News 24 has posted an article on the recent snowstorms in Kyoto with a photograph of Kinkaku-ji under a blanket of snow. It is a view similar to mine.

To see it, go here.
