L.A. To Tokyo Airfares Drop

My last report on L.A. to Tokyo round-trip airfares was on April 5.

At that time, I reported that the L.A. Times Travel section found that airfares ranged (on the low end) at $833 to $1,011 (on the high end). These were before any taxes or fees were added in.

I indicated at the time that unless there was a drastic change in airfares, the next report would be in May. Well, the airfares the Times came up with in yesterday's paper couldn't be considered "drastic" by any stretch of the imagination, but at least they came down since the beginning of the month and I thought I should share them with you.

Yesterday, the Times found that L.A. to Tokyo round-trip airfares ranged from $793 (on the low end) to $971 (on the high end). These, again, are before any taxes or fees are added in.

At least this is good news for the Japan-bound traveling public.
