L.A. County Board of Supervisors Scrolls

Above, three L.A. County scrolls (copies) of events honoring pop culture figures. I worked with the office of
then-Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich for the honors and presentation ceremonies for each. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

Finally, I've mounted the copies of three scrolls honoring people and characters in our modern day pop culture on one wall.

Thanks to (former) Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich and his colleagues, the scrolls honored the following:

From left, Godzilla Week (July 10 - 16, 2000) for the first Godzilla movie, Godzilla 2000, to receive a major U.S. theatrical release since 1985 and the opening of G-FEST 2000 in Hollywood; Superman Week (July 10 -16, 2001) for the 50th anniversary of the Adventures of Superman; and Godzilla Month (November 2004), for the 50th anniversary of Godzilla.

The original Godzilla scrolls were presented to Toho Co., Ltd. and the original Superman scroll is was presented to DC Comics.
