Snow Showers In May?

Last week, Clampers attending the annual Grand Council meetings in Murphys, California reported cold and rainy weather. Murphys is located in the Mother Lode area of California.

Well, it appears that the storm raining on ECV is heading our way in New Mexico.

According to the National Weather Service, we're expecting thunderstorms with a chance of snow showers(!) Monday night. Snow showers in May?!

The forecast:

Tonight
Isolated showers and thunderstorms between midnight and 3am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 33. West wind 15 to 20 mph decreasing to 10 to 15 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Saturday
Sunny, with a high near 59. West wind 10 to 20 mph.
Saturday Night
Mostly clear, with a low around 37. West wind 10 to 15 mph becoming southwest 5 to 10 mph after midnight.
Sunday
Partly sunny, with a high near 61. Breezy, with a southwest wind 10 to 15 mph increasing to 20 to 25 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph.
Sunday Night
A 20 percent chance of showers after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 38. Breezy, with a southwest wind 20 to 25 mph decreasing to 10 to 15 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph.
Monday
Showers and thunderstorms likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 50. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
