Thunderstorms Coming Tomorrow

It appears that today will be relatively quiet in Jamestown, New Mexico before monsoon-driven thunderstorms hit the area tomorrow.

It is a good thing that I am getting The Beast its oil change and trip check Monday morning as the storms will be hitting the area in the afternoon.

There were dark storm clouds in the area last evening, but they by-passed us and were more towards Continental Divide to the east.

According to the National Weather Service:

Today
Mostly sunny, with a high near 90. Light and variable wind becoming northwest 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.
Tonight
Partly cloudy, with a low around 61. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southeast in the evening.
Monday
Showers and thunderstorms likely after noon. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Mostly sunny, with a high near 86. Southeast wind 5 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Monday Night
Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 58. Southeast wind 15 to 20 mph becoming south 10 to 15 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
