According to this article in Collider.com, actor Johnny Depp will don the cape as vampire Barnabas Collins in a new movie based on the gothic soap-opera Dark Shadows in April.

The movie will be directed by Tim Burton (Edward Scissorhands, Ed Wood).
The role of the guilt-ridden vampire Barnabas Collins was created in 1967 by Jonathan Frid. The show ran on ABC-TV until April 1971.
Ben Cross played the role in the Dark Shadows revival series in 1991.
