California Snowpack Only 40% of Normal

This coming summer will be tough, water-wise.

The Western Farm Press reported:

  • Statewide in California, snowpack water content is only 40 percent of normal for the date, and was only 55 percent of normal the first of April, the time of year when it is historically at its peak. 
  • The winter snowpack – often called California’s “frozen reservoir” – normally provides about a third of the state's water supply.  
 You can expect to see the state government (run by you-know-who) demand that people in California conserve water (which is only common sense).  But, at the same time, they jack up water prices.
