Back on June 3, I posted a blog on beating the Los Angeles Times Travel section's best airline fare price of $1,840.00 from Narita (NRT) to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
In today's edition, the Times found a slightly better price for a round-trip fare to Tokyo's Narita Airport from Los Angeles International Airport. Their price today is $1,614.00. $230.00 less than on June 3.
After seeing this, I perused around and found $760.00 + tax and fuel surcharge for an adult round-trip fare on Singapore Airlines. Again, I was able to get this fare through GatewayLAX and beat the Times a third time.
Sometimes I wonder if the L.A. Times really tries that hard.
