Thanks to a Facebook post by The First Church of Godzilla (Reform) Pastor Tony Isabella, I was reminded that on this date in 2006, Gamera: The Brave premiered in Tokyo.

The premiere took place at the Piccadilly Theaters in the Yurakucho Mullion Building.

I timed my 2006 trip to Tokyo in order to attend the premiere.
