Tokyo City View

Ever since I went up to Mori Tower in Roppongi Hills in Tokyo during my trip in February, I have seen more postings on Mori Tower's Tokyo City View.

Today is no exception as Japan Today's "Picture of the Day" is a view of Tokyo from the Tokyo City View.

The view from Mori Tower is spectacular and well worth a visit.

According to Japan-Guide.com:

The Tokyo City View observation deck is one of Tokyo's best. When the weather permits, views can also be enjoyed from an open-air deck on the rooftop. Also located on Mori Tower's top floors is the Mori Art Museum, a modern art museum with a focus on new artistic ideas from all over the world. 

While there, I also went to the Art Museum. But it pales in comparison to the Tokyo City View.

In case you were wondering, Mori Tower is one of Tokyo's tallest buildings (it stands at 238 meters) and is primarily an office building. The first few floors of Mori Tower contains restaurants and shops.

Roppongi Hills and Mori Tower opened in 2003. The Roppongi Hills complex ("The City Within The City") is the symbol of Japan's IT industry. Roppongi Hills contains offices, shops, a hotel, restaurants, art museum, theaters and a lot more.
