Great Hanshin Earthquake 20th Anniversary

Tomorrow (it is already "tomorrow" in Japan) is the 20th anniversary of the Great Hanshin Earthquake that struck on January 17, 1995 and devastated Kobe, Japan. This was a wee bit over a year after the Northridge Earthquake that struck Los Angeles.

According to Japan Today:
KOBE —Events were held on Saturday morning to mark the 20th anniversary of the Great Hanshin Earthquake in Hyogo Prefecture.
The earthquake, which struck at 5:46 a.m. on Jan 17, 1995, killed 6,434 people in Hyogo Prefecture and neighboring areas.
Today, Kobe has been rebuilt and there is the museum of the Disaster Reduction and Human Renovation Institution for visitors to learn more about the earthquake.
