Test of Strength

Tonight, I saw this item sitting at work following a party:

It was one of those "test of strength" or "ring the bell" high striker carnival game attractions. It reminded me of a 1953 Adventures of Superman episode, "Beware The Wrecker" where Clark Kent (George Reeves), Lois Lane (Noel Neill) and Jimmy Olsen (Jack Larson) were at a carnival to try to track down a saboteur, The Wrecker.

Clark gives it a try, but the puck is hit with such force by his super-strength that it knocks the bell completely off.

Above, Clark is given the mallet to give the "test of strength" high striker a whack.

Above, embarrassed, Clark offers to pay for the damage.
