The figures for February 2015 are now out and posted by The Japan News (Yomiuri Shimbun).
They wrote:
The estimated number of foreign visitors to Japan in February jumped 57.6 percent from a year before to a monthly record of 1,387,000, up for the 25th straight month, the Japan National Tourism Organization said Wednesday. They attribute the rise in foreign tourism to the weakened yen (which makes things in Japan much cheaper) and goods exempted from the consumption tax for foreign visitors.
