April Airfare Check For Los Angeles To Tokyo

We're now in a new month and this will be the first airfare report for fares between Los Angeles and Tokyo.

On March 23, I reported that according to the Los Angeles Times Travel section, round-trip airfares went up to $859 on the low end and $1,211 on the high end. These are before any taxes or fees are added in.

Yesterday, the Times reported that airfares dipped down a bit. On the low end, they found fares at $833 and on the high end, they found fares at $1,011. Again, these are before any taxes and fees are added in.

I checked with my favorite source for L.A. to Tokyo airline tickets, GatewayLAX with a departure on April 18 and a return on April 26.

This is what they came up with:

Note that the return flight to Los Angeles originates from Tokyo's Haneda Airport. The $460 round-trip fare is before any taxes and fees are added in.

Unless airfares make a dramatic jump in either direction, the next airfare report will be following the first Sunday in May.
