What a difference a year and a half makes!
Last year, the rate of exchange at Narita International Airport when exchanging my dollars for yen was at ¥99.37.
This year, the rate of exchange I received was ¥116.99, a difference of ¥17.62 per dollar exchanged. A definite improvement!
Currently, the exchange rate in Tokyo is at ¥121.45-121.47. This rate is available only for "high rollers".
Still, I am pleased about the exchange rate I received this year.
