The Great Buddha of Kamakura is currently undergoing a major check-up.

It has been about 50 years since the last major check-up for the iconic statue.

So far, what is the current state of health for the Great Buddha?

The Asahi Shimbun reported:

So, after more than seven centuries of braving the elements, the Great Buddha is adorably in good health.
