Dollar Firmer At ¥110 In Tokyo

There's some good news in the U.S. dollar-Japanese yen exchange rate for potential travelers.

The dollar seems to be climbing a bit in Tokyo trading. It had been mired at ¥108 for a while.

Jiji Press reported:
Tokyo, May 20 (Jiji Press)--The dollar held firmer above 110 yen in Tokyo trading on Friday, as risk aversion among currency players subsided following gains in Japanese stock prices.
At 5 p.m., the dollar stood at 110.27-28 yen, up from 110.07-07 yen at the same time Thursday.
