Mount Fuji Climbing Season Begins

If you are headed to Japan and have a desire to climb to the top of Mount Fuji, now's the time to do it.

News On Japan posted:

The climbing season for Mount Fuji opened Friday on the Yamanashi Prefecture side. The mountain is Japan's highest, and has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. 

It straddles Yamanashi and Shizuoka prefectures. The Shizuoka side will open to climbers on July 10th.
