Tree Trimming

Above, the hangman's noose in THAT tree. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

In my prior post on last weekend's Platrix clampout on the Keene Ranch, I mentioned that we were entertained, after we set up camp, by watching later arrivals in their high-profile RVs trying to navigate under a tree that was across the road from us.

The tree hadn't been trimmed recently (if ever) and there were some low-hanging branches. Each time a high-profile RV (motorhome or trailer) went under it, we could see branches being torn off with a lot of noise to go along with it.

Glenn Thornhill seemed to have the most fun with the drivers, telling them such things as "You just tore off your air conditioner!" and "Hey, you'll have to pick up every branch!" Yes, our group is easily entertained!

When we came in, The Beast had no problem going under the tree, except we heard a noise from something that started from the front part of the roof on down to the rear. After setting up camp, we found out what the noise was: a noose!

By the time the last Clamper (and camper) came in, the tree looked well-trimmed!
