Above, Dolores Hart and Elvis Presley in Loving You.

She starred in two Elvis Presley movies, Loving You and King Creole, and was a rising star. From 1957 to 1962, Dolores Hart made 11 movies. She was only 17 when the starred with Presley in Loving You.

Then she disappeared.

According to an article in the Herald-Tribune:
Just as Grace Kelly gave up making movies to follow her heart and marry Prince Rainier of Monaco, Dolores Hart chose her vocation to become a Benedictine nun over Hollywood stardom.
Mother Dolores Hart told her story Sept. 30 to a large crowd at St. Louis Catholic Church.
"I began thinking about this (entertainment) industry when I was 7 years old. I wanted to be an actress. My father was an actor, and he was so handsome," reported the woman who was born Dolores Hicks.
