Following a summer's night of fireworks at Lake Kawaguchi, the 2004 G-TOUR spent the night at a hotel in Hakone and did a little touring of the area.

Part of our route out of the Hakone area included a boat ride on Lake Ashi. Lake Ashi was featured in the 1967 movie, Gappa: The Triphibian Monster.

The mountain of Hakone lies about an hour and a half by train from Tokyo, which makes it a popular day-trip or weekend getaway from the capital.
