Monsoon Moisture Over Four Corners Region

The National Weather Service posted this on their home page:
Monsoon moisture will result in locally heavy showers and thunderstorms over the Four Corners region, which could lead to flash flooding.

Well, that's pretty much where I'm at. It seems that it rained here overnight. I heard it coming down when I went to bed last night. I actually went to bed a little early (around 9:30) following "Country Music" a film by Ken Burns on PBS. (Part one, last night, was very interesting. I had no idea that the banjo originated in Africa.)

The rains are certainly welcome after a relatively dry August.

The forecast by the National Weather Service:

Today
Isolated showers, then scattered showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 73. West wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Tonight
Scattered showers and thunderstorms before midnight, then isolated showers between midnight and 3am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 49. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Tuesday
Mostly sunny, with a high near 74. West wind 5 to 15 mph.
