Above, the 2015 tour group photo at Kiyomizu-dera in Kyoto.

One of the must-see places in the world would have to include the city of Kyoto, Japan.

Once the country's capital, Kyoto is an interesting place to see ancient shrines and temples. I was last there four years ago (it was my second visit) and took a guided tour (it made things easier) to see some of the city's highlights.

The U.K. edition of the Huffington Post has an article on the ten best things to see an do in Kyoto.

They begin with:

Whether you’re catching the Rugby World Cup, or planning ahead for cherry blossom season or the 2020 Olympic Games, here’s the best things to do in Kyoto.
