Red Rock Balloon Rally This Weekend

The annual Red Rock Balloon Rally is to be held this weekend at Red Rock Park and various other venues in Gallup, New Mexico starting Friday, December 6 through Sunday, December 8.

It appears that the weather may cooperate a little more than last year when it snowed, scrubbing any balloon ascensions.

From what the National Weather Service forecasts, it appears Friday and Saturday will be the best days to see balloon ascensions.

I will skip camping at the Red Rock Park Campground this year. I'll just drive over early in the morning since Red Rock Park is only 10 miles away.

According to the National Weather Service:

Friday

Partly sunny, with a high near 46.

Friday Night

Mostly cloudy, with a low around 26.

Saturday

Partly sunny, with a high near 49.

Saturday Night

A 20 percent chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 30.

Sunday

A 50 percent chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 43.
