In Godzilla vs. MechaGodzilla II in 1993, while the King of the Monsters was down in Kyoto, Japan, he passed by Kiyomizu-Dera.
What's Kiyomizu-dera?
According to TokyoStreetView:
Located in the heart of Kyoto, Kiyomizu-dera is one of Japan's most famous and celebrated temples thanks to its iconic 13-meter high wooden stage with a unique view.
Founded in 780 on the site of the Otowa waterfall, Kiyomizu-dera literally means, “Pure Water Temple.” It was originally associated with the Hosso sect, one of Japan's old Buddhism sects until 1965 when it formed its own Kita Hosso sect.
