Last-Minute RV Road Trips

Over the years, I've made a few last-minute road trips in my RV.

Most recently, I took a jaunt into neighboring Arizona to see the petrified forest at the Petrified Forest National Park on the spur-of-the-moment. I had seen the painted desert section already. Last year, I took a last-minute road trip to Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park. 

The only thing different between planned trips and last-minute ones are making campground reservations within two days of hitting the road. Those trips are usually to places I had thought about visiting but hadn't gotten around to them.
