Lever Gun Resurgence

Since I bought my Winchester 94 lever-action rifle in .30-30 caliber in 2019, I noticed that the popularity of lever-action rifles in general has risen. 

I had been on the lookout for a pre-1964 Winchester 94 for some time until I found one for sale at Ron Peterson Firearms in Albuquerque. It was in good shape and I verified its age through its serial number as being made in 1962. So I bought it.

Guns Magazine also notice a resurgence in the popularity of lever-action rifles and posted an article on it in 2020.

It begins with:

If I were to pick one class of long guns as my favorite, it would have to be lever-action rifles. They can be chambered in everything from .22 Long Rifle up to Big Horn Armory’s 500 S&W Magnum. There is a caliber just right for your purposes.

To paraphrase an old country song, I liked lever-actions before lever-actions were cool. And, in the last few years, there has been a resurgence in the popularity of lever-actions.
