First Snow

As usual, the first snow of the autumn season has fallen overnight in Jamestown, New Mexico.

I read yesterday that Flagstaff, Arizona got snow. I figured that it won't be long before we do also. Jamestown and Flagstaff are roughly at the same elevation. Sure enough, I took a look outside and there was a couple of inches or so of it on the ground.

The forecast for the rest of today, according to the National Weather Service:

Overnight
Partly cloudy, with a low around 32. South wind around 5 mph.
Saturday
Scattered rain and snow showers before 10am, then rain showers likely. Some thunder is also possible. Partly sunny, with a high near 49. Southeast wind 5 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
Saturday Night
Rain showers likely before midnight, then a chance of rain and snow showers. Some thunder is also possible. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 32. South wind 5 to 10 mph becoming east in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
