People who are single or otherwise unable to have a traveling companion go on an overseas trip with them are in a quandry on what to do. Most opt not going, fearing that they would have a bad experience in traveling somewhere solo.

Help on the subject has been posted here and elsewhere. Help is always welcome, no matter the source.

The latest is from the United Arab Emirates' Khaleej Times as they have posted an article on "The Single Guides To Seeing The World." Here, they talked to experienced solo travelers who provide tips on making a solo trip an enjoyable experience.

They begin with:
How many times have you had the urge to pack your bags and just jet off? Probably on hundreds of occasions. And how many times have you
actually done it? Well, if you’re a part of the majority of the population, probably never. We don’t blame you: it takes a lot of time and patience to plan a trip with your friends or family, coordinating days off, other commitments and all that jazz before you can get on the plane.
So, next time, perhaps you can just jet off on your own, just like the wanderlusters we spoke to this week — who
don’t let anything get in the way of satiating their need to
see the world.
