Condé Nast Traveler has posted their list of the world's most safest airlines.
Surprisingly (or maybe not, depending upon one's point-of-view), no American airline made the list. It is surprising since many (if not most) of the world's airlines use Boeing jets, outside of the ones made by Airbus Industries.
The article reads (in part):
Okay, so flying is incredibly safe, but what’s the safest airline? Based on accident records, operational history, and international safety audits, AirlineRatings.com said Qantas leads the pack; the Aussie flag carrier is famous for its fatality-free history as a jet airline. It is interesting that Quantas came out on top, considering that the airline has been in financial difficulty during the past few years.
Of the others who made the list, I've flown on one of them to Japan.
So, what are the other airlines who made the list?
Go here to find out.
