If you are flying an airline on a domestic route, whether you are on business or pleasure, you may want to use your computer or other device on the flight to surf the Internet.
Most domestic airlines now offer Wi-Fi aboard their planes, but the prices to use their service varies. Personally, I've never used in-flight Wi-Fi while going to Japan or anywhere else. First, the cost was too excessive (in my opinion) and, second, there were no power outlets at my seat to keep my laptop batteries fully charged. Some airlines now have power plug outlets installed at their seats and others are in the process of installing them.
If you want to use in-flight Wi-Fi, Condé Nast Traveler has posted a list on "Where To Find Wi-Fi On Domestic Flights."
