Rain To Snow Showers

Above, rain clouds over the mesas today. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

Not too long after going to bed last night, I heard rain hitting the windows. The rain continued for most of the night and we're expecting more today.

The rain will (so as it is forecast) turn into snow showers tomorrow morning.

What's of the previous snow of Friday is almost gone as the rain speeded up the melting of the snow and ice (not enough, as I almost slipped on some ice this morning).

According to the National Weather Service:

This Afternoon
Scattered showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 43. Southwest wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Tonight
Showers, mainly after 11pm. Low around 34. South wind 5 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Thursday
Scattered rain and snow showers before 11am. Partly sunny, with a high near 42. West wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
