Snow Showers Tonight

Happy New Year!    

It was a good thing I went to bed early as I woke up not too long ago. It's just one of those things, I guess.

The new year in New Mexico will start out with rain today and, tonight, snow showers. Right now, it is 37° outside, a little "warmer" than what we've been seeing lately. The snow showers will probably continue through Monday night.

According to the National Weather Service, the Gallup area looks like this:

 Overnight

Cloudy, with a low around 33. Southwest wind around 10 mph.
New Year's Day
Showers likely after 11am. Cloudy, with a high near 47. South wind 10 to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Sunday Night
Snow showers, mainly before 11pm. Some thunder is also possible. Low around 22. Southwest wind 15 to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.
Monday
A 50 percent chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 34. Breezy, with a west wind 20 to 25 mph.
Monday Night
A 20 percent chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 17. Southwest wind around 15 mph.
