2018 UFO Festival In Roswell

Speaking of UFOs (per my last post on the 1977 UFO incident at the island of Colares), the 2018 Roswell UFO Festival is going to be here before we know it.

According to their website:

In 2017 we hosted 38,000 aliens in Roswell!  We were so amazed! Our surveys indicated people from 43 states and 16 different countries. 27 media groups, 24 live coverage network shows, and countless printed stories. We were featured on The Travel Channel’s Expeditions Unknown, The Food Network’s Carnival Eats and more! 

We realize 2017 will be hard to beat, but we are working hard on some exciting additions in 2018 to make this festival even bigger and better than ever.   Be sure to join over 32,000 subscribers at the bottom of the page for updates! 

This year the Festival will be held July 6-8, 2018 – start making plans to attend now!  Many hotels are already taking reservations and are usually booked, so we recommend making reservations now!  We are currently in the process of scheduling all the entertainment and events, so check back often. 

The City of Roswell invites UFO enthusiasts and skeptics alike to join in the celebration of one of the most debated incidents in history. The three-day event will feature guest speakers, authors, live entertainment, a costume contest, parade, a pet costume contest, parade, family-friendly activities and more.

I plan on attending and it should be an interesting and fun event.

Island of Colares - 1977 UFO Encounters

Here's an interesting UFO story.

It happened in 1977 on an island off Brazil in which UFOs of many shapes and sizes even attacked the island's inhabitants.

From UFO Casebook:

In 1977, the Brazilian island of Colares was visited by flying objects of an unknown nature. Nearly all kinds of UFOs were seen; some big, some small, saucer shaped, cigar shaped, luminous or not. They arrived from the North every day, from the sky and also sometimes from underwater, and it lasted for months. 

Regularly, some Island inhabitants were targeted by the objects, sending strange rays to them, and many were badly hurt, with two reported dead. The Army intervenes, the press follows. 35 people were hurt by the strange rays, and many fled from the Island. 

The events mainly concentrated on the city of Colares, about 2,000 inhabitants, on Colares Island, which is in the region of Pará, the delta of the Amazon river on the northeastern coast of Brazil. But the whole region was visited by the same phenomenon. Which has brought many ufologists to visit the city.
