2022 Roswell UFO Festival Brought In $2 Million

Putting on festivals and conventions is hard work that involves months of planning and organizing. Hopefully, when all is done, the festival or convention is a financial success.

That is the case of last summer's Roswell UFO Festival.

According to Border Report:

ROSWELL, N.M. (AP) — Roswell officials say the city’s UFO Festival had an economic impact of more than $2 million.

The Roswell Daily Record reports the Roswell City Council’s finance committee looked earlier this month at an economic report for the event.

It indicated more than 40,000 visitors came to the four-day festival, which ran June 30-July 3.

The cost for the city to mount it was more than $200,000. Officials applauded the results as a “10 to 1 return on your money.”

Staff who put together the report reviewed gross receipts taxes, occupancy or lodgers’ tax, ticket sales and other factors. They also analyzed data from trash collection to estimate the number of visitors.

I attended the 2018 Roswell UFO Festival and had a great time. I recommend attending a future one!

Pentagon CONFIRMS Women Were Impregnated By Aliens

Above, a display at the Roswell International UFO Museum. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

A friend passed on this article to me last evening.

PerezHilton.com reports that a Pentagon report states that aliens (you know, the outer space variety) have visited Earth and have made close encounters with humans. Some encounters were so close that at least one resulted in the pregnancy of a woman.

They begin with:

Talk about close encounters!

Over the past few years, the Pentagon has begun casually acknowledging the existence of UFOs, much to the shock of everyone (well, everyone but Tom Delonge we guess).

But now, in another baffling twist, it’s been reported that the Pentagon also knew about several sexual encounters UFO inhabitants (??) allegedly had with humans (!!), which even left one woman pregnant (!?!?!)!

The bombshell allegations were made in a Pentagon report obtained by the outlet from the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) as part of a massive Freedom of Information request, and later published by The Sun. The report in question, titled “Anomalous Acute And Subacute Field Effects on Human and Biological Tissues,” details injuries to “human observers by anomalous advanced aerospace systems” and investigates the health impact on humans who’ve had close encounters with the paranormal.

Pentagon Forms New Department To Watch and Study UFOs

There are those who don't believe UFOs are real. As it turns out, the Pentagon does think they're real and potential threats.

They have formed a new department to watch and study them.

According to Motherboard:

The Pentagon announced the formation of the Airborne Object Identification and Management Synchronization Group (AOIMSG), a successor to the U.S. Navy’s Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force. The group study Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon (UAP), the U.S. military’s name for UFOs.

According to the Pentagon’s press release, “the AOIMSG will synchronize efforts across the Department and the broader U.S. government to detect, identify and attribute objects of interests in Special Use Airspace (SUA), and to assess and mitigate any associated threats to safety of flight and national security.”

This Year's Roswell UFO Festival

Above, yours truly with a couple of friends at the 2018 Roswell UFO Festival.

It looks like there will be a UFO Festival in Roswell New Mexico this year.

Thanks to the coronavirus, last year's festival was cancelled. But the Roswell city officials say there will be a festival this year.

According to the Roswell Daily Record:

Plans for the 2021 UFO Festival are underway, and the city is preparing to restart its tourism marketing next month with a goal of increasing “heads in beds” and the resulting revenue.

City officials discussed those plans during Thursday morning’s Finance Committee meeting with Chairman Jason Perry and committee members Jacob Roebuck and Margaret Kennard. Vice-chair Juan Oropesa was absent.

In the public comments section toward the end of the 30-minute meeting, Perry asked Public Affairs Director Juanita Jennings about the festival, which was canceled last year due to the pandemic.

“Yes, there will be a festival this year,” Jennings said, explaining the event company the city hired to manage the festival, In Depth Events, had a team here late last month. The festival is scheduled for July 2-4, according to the Public Affairs Department.

The Roswell UFO Festival celebrates the crash of a flying saucer in the area in 1947.
