Trump At Graceland

President Donald Trump was in Memphis, Tennessee yesterday to attend a forum on the crime safe task force accomplishments. Following this, he made a surprise visit to Elvis Presley's Graceland mansion.

He signed a guitar in the Jungle Room (known during Presley's time as the den).

He is the second sitting U.S. President to visit Graceland.

According to Google:

As of March 2026, only two sitting U.S. presidents have toured Elvis Presley's Graceland mansion: George W. Bush (in 2006 with Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi) and Donald Trump (on March 23, 2026). Other presidents, such as Jimmy Carter, have visited the estate after leaving office.

Here's a video on Trump's visit:

Trump Administration In Talks With Cuba

Above, yours truly at the Plaza de la Revolución in Havana in 2019. Photo by Mitch Geriminsky.

Back in April 2019, a friend proposed going on a cruise to Havana, Cuba. I thought it would be an interesting to place to see and so I agreed to go. Besides, the price was quite reasonable with Royal Caribbean.

About a couple of months later, President Trump halted cruises to Cuba.

When Trump (supposedly) lost to Joe Biden in the 2020 election, it was rumored that the Biden Administration would resume cruises to Cuba. They never did.

Right now, talks are taking place between the Cuban government and Trump officials.

According to USA Today:

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel on March 13 confirmed his government is holding talks with the Trump administration, in the latest sign that the communist-run nation is open to signing a possible historic economic deal with the United States.

Díaz-Canel made the announcement in a video broadcast on national television and he also spoke in a subsequent press conference, where he addressed Cuba's energy needs amid a U.S. oil blockade, saying no fuel has entered Cuba in three months. He said the talks with the U.S. have reached initial phases only.

"These conversations have been aimed at seeking solutions through dialogue to the bilateral differences that exist between our two nations," Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel on March 13 confirmed his government is holding talks with the Trump administration, in the latest sign that the communist-run nation is open to signing a possible historic economic deal with the United States.

"These conversations have been aimed at seeking solutions through dialogue to the bilateral differences that exist between our two nations," Diaz-Canel said.

If these talks bear fruit, there may be a possibility that an agreement would allow Americans to take cruises again to Cuba.

Fireworks Returning To Mount Rushmore

Above, Mount Rushmore National Memorial. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

For some odd reason, fireworks at Mount Rushmore National Memorial wasn't allowed during the Biden years.

However, now that Donald Trump is back in the White House, fireworks will be allowed at the Memorial this year as the nation celebrates 250 years.

The National Park Service posted:

WASHINGTON – The National Park Service today announced fireworks will again illuminate the sky above Mount Rushmore National Memorial on July 3, 2026, to celebrate the country’s 250th anniversary. Public tickets for the event will be available through a lottery on Recreation.gov from April 8–12.

After a five-year absence, the return of fireworks to this iconic national memorial reflects President Donald J. Trump’s vision of a “grand celebration worthy of the momentous occasion of the 250th anniversary of American Independence.”

“In partnership with the State of South Dakota, we are excited to reinstate a spectacular fireworks show as the highlight of Mount Rushmore’s Independence Day commemoration,” said Dr. Jenifer Chatfield, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Fish and Wildlife and Parks. “We invite the public to enjoy the show and reflect on our nation’s remarkable journey and the great patriotic leaders who established, preserved and expanded our country’s destiny.”

SILVER STACKERS SWARM BULLION DEALER AS WAR ERUPTS!

SILVER STACKERS SWARM BULLION DEALER AS WAR ERUPTS! by Yankee Stacking.

Summary:

In this video my bullion dealer is swamped by both buyers and sellers of silver and gold as war erupts!  The lines grow quickly and the parking lot fills as silver buyers come from all across the state to see my bullion dealer!   A big drop in the spot price of silver and gold draws people in when the coin shop first opens and Tim can't leave until after 5:30 in the evening!  Is the war with Iran going to suppress the price of silver and gold or are we about to see a massive spike in the spot price of precious metals.  Silver usually goes down with the stock market on geo-political events, but this drop in spot price was a buying opportunity for these stackers.  Watch and see customers buy bullion from Tim Marschner of the Coin and Stamp Shop in what could be the beginning of a major war-driven volatility!  I also ask customers if President Trump's actions in Iran are "America First"!  These are unprecedented times requiring us to stack precious metals.  Protect yourself from out-of-control governments, evil central banks, and the failing US dollar's grip as the world's reserve currency.  Make sure you build a stack of silver rounds, silver bars, silver coins, and gold coins as essential barter and wealth preservation!

State of the Union Tonight

As one who could be called a "political junkie", I make it a point to watch the annual State of the Union address by the President of the United States.

Some addresses are better than others, but since the advent of Donald Trump in the White House, I find them very entertaining.

Tonight Trump will deliver his first official State of the Union Address (last year's joint session doesn't count) of his second term of office.

With Democrats boycotting, there should be few, if any, disruptions and silly antics.

Trump Marks 5th Anniversary of Rush Limbaugh's Death

Above, Rush Limbaugh awarded the Medal of Freedom by Melania Trump in 2020.

Yesterday was the fifth anniversary of the passing of legendary talk show host Rush Limbaugh.

These five years flew by fast. For many out in radioland, Limbaugh's passing was a life-changer as they began their days listening to his radio show.

President Trump lauded Limbaugh yesterday in a video.

Mediaite posted:

President Donald Trump commemorated the five-year anniversary of the death of conservative radio giant Rush Limbaugh on Tuesday with a video message mourning the loss of “a really great man.”

Trump spoke directly to camera in the video, which was filmed with Trump seated at his desk in the Oval Office and posted to Truth Social. The president praised Limbaugh, who died of cancer in 2021, as “somebody that loved our country.”

“Well, this is the fifth anniversary of the loss of a really great man, a great conservative, somebody that loved our country, loved his family, loved a lot of things, but he was a friend of mine, Rush Limbaugh,” said Trump.

Greenland Talk Driving Gold and Silver To New Highs

Above, silver Kennedy half dollars and Morgan silver dollars. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

It appears that more talk concerning President Trump's call to take over Greenland is driving the price of gold and silver to new highs.

Kitco News reported:

Jan 19 (Reuters) - Gold and silver hit record highs on Monday, driven by a flight to safety after U.S. President Donald ‌Trump warned of extra tariffs on some European countries in a dispute over Greenland.

Spot gold jumped 1.5% to $4,662.85 per ounce by 1121 GMT, after scaling an all-time high of $4,689.39.

U.S. gold futures for February delivery advanced 1.6% to $4,668 per ounce.

Trump threatened several European allies with a series of escalating ‌tariffs on Saturday, unless the U.S. is allowed to buy Greenland, intensifying a dispute over Denmark's vast Arctic island.

Elsewhere, spot silver climbed 3.7% to $93.24, after hitting a record high of $94.08. The white metal has risen over 30% so far ‍this year.

Venezuelans Dancing To YMCA In Honor of Trump

 Liberals hate this, of course.

Congressional Approval Not Needed

The only people mad about the capture of NicolĆ”s Maduro from Venezuela are Russia, China, Iran and Democrats. Notice a pattern here?

There's a few panty waists around who whine that President Trump has to get congressional approval for this kind of operation.

Best Trump Impersonator I've Seen (So Far)

This fellow has to be the best impersonator of President Trump I've seen. Well, so far.

Unlike liberals, we conservatives don't mind having our leaders having fun poked at. We have a sense of humor, unlike them.

Trump Administration Sues Washington DC Over Gun Laws

The Trump Justice Department is suing Washington, DC over its semiautomatic restrictions, saying it violates the Second Amendment.

MSN reported:

Donald Trump-led US administration is suing the Washington, DC, government over its gun laws, arguing that restrictions on certain semiautomatic firearms violate the Second Amendment rights. The US Department of Justice filed the lawsuit on Monday in the District Court for the District of Columbia, naming the Metropolitan Police Department and outgoing police chief Pamela Smith as defendants.

The case sets up a major legal battle over how far governments can go in regulating individual gun ownership.

"The United States of America brings this lawsuit to protect the rights that have been guaranteed for 234 years and which the Supreme Court has explicitly reaffirmed several times over the last two decades,"the Justice Department said in its filing.

Made It To Lake Havasu

Above, I took this shot of the sunrise from the entrance to Petrified Forest
National Park. I stopped there for a coffee break. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

Well, I made it to Lake Havasu, Arizona.

I will be spending the Christmas holiday with Mitch & Holly Geriminsky. I have done so for the past several years.

I got into town at about 1:30 in the afternoon. This was after driving around 420 miles from home in New Mexico. I got on the road at 5:30 in the morning.

Above, a rancher put up this sign on his property ten miles east of Seligman, Arizona. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

Outside of some wind along the way, the weather was good. It did rain in the evening hours in Lake Havasu.

I decided to go to bed early as I was tired from the long drive.

Trump’s Second Term Delivers For Gun Owners

The Trump Administration is a 180° change from His Fraudulency Joe Biden's Administration, especially when it comes to the Second Amendment.

President Trump has undone much of what Biden did to attack our Second Amendment rights.

America's 1st Freedom (NRA) lays it all out in a new article.

It begins with:

Promises made, promises kept. It’s the phrase President Donald Trump’s White House uses to emphasize this administration’s commitment to delivering on the agenda the American people endorsed at the ballot box. And unlike the case with so many cheap-talking politicians, the Trump administration has plenty of accomplishments to point to. This is especially true when it comes to President Trump’s promise to protect Americans’ Second Amendment rights.

Speaking at the 2024 NRA Annual Meeting in Dallas, Texas, President Trump told NRA members, “Let there be no doubt, the survival of our Second Amendment is very much on the ballot.” The president went on to explain, “In my second term, we will roll back every Biden attack on the Second Amendment.” President Trump’s Make America Great Again platform made clear that his party would “Defend our Constitution, our Bill of Rights, and our fundamental freedoms, including … the right to keep and bear arms.”

Upon taking office on January 20, President Trump got to work on keeping his word.

Last Night

Last night, I stayed up to watch the signing of the bill ending the Democrats' government shutdown by President Trump.

While up, I also went outside to see if there's any visible aurora.

Well, the bill signing went off without a hitch, putting an end to the shutdown.

Unfortunately, there was no aurora that I could see. I walked to a part of my front yard where no lights could wash out any views. There was no aurora that I could see.

I took the photo below from my porch.

On Facebook, I posted it with this caption: The aurora is really impressive!

GOA Warns Senate Against Eliminating The Filibuster

In his frustration with the Senate Democrats led by Chuck Schumer over the government shutdown, President Trump is calling for the elimination of the filibuster.

This may sound good to many, but the Gun Owners of America says this is a bad idea that could lead to more Second Amendment attack legislation.

They wrote:

With President Donald Trump urging the U.S. Senate to do away with the filibuster to put an end to the government shutdown, one gun-rights group is sounding the alarm on that proposal.

On November 4, Gun Owners of America (GOA) issued a national alert encouraging members to “save” the filibuster for the good of the Second Amendment.

“President Donald Trump is calling on the Senate to use the ‘nuclear option’ and eliminate the filibuster to reopen the government,” the GOA Senior Vice President Erich Pratt wrote in the alert. “Destroying the filibuster would be a disaster for the Second Amendment. The truth is, the filibuster is the critical tool that GOA has used for years to defeat mandatory gun registration, bans on common firearms, crushing restrictions on gun shows, national gun confiscation laws and countless other gun-grabbing schemes.”

As Pratt further noted, if the filibuster is nuked, there will be nothing left to stop a flood of anti-gun legislation in the future.

“If the filibuster falls, no matter who demands it, the gun control crowd in Congress will ram every radical gun control bill into law,” Pratt wrote. “That’s why your action is absolutely critical, right now. I need you to send a message to your senators today. Tell them: Protect the filibuster and don’t give up the ONE tool that’s topped gun control for decades! Enshrine the filibuster into law.”

I agree with the GOA. The filibuster has been a protection against lunatic legislation.
