Dubai, Other Countries Attacked By Iran

The crazies in Iran have launched missile attacks at other Arab countries in retaliation for the military action of Operation Epic Fury. This includes attacks on Dubai.

The last I heard from Asya, she was working in Dubai. I haven't heard from her in a while and I sent her a message to see if she's still there. 

According to the New Voice of Ukraine:

Images showed smoke rising over Tehran, and explosions were reported in five Iranian cities. Iran, in turn, launched ballistic missiles at Israel.

Israel dubbed its operation against Iran “Roaring Lion,” while the United States named its operation “Epic Fury.”

Explosions were also reported in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, where one person was killed. The UAE Ministry of Defensesaid the country had come under a “blatant attack” involving Iranian ballistic missiles.

Explosions were also reported in Bahrain and Qatar, where U.S. military bases are located.

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei Reportedly Killed

Iran's regime supreme leader Ayatollah has been reported killed in an Israeli air strike.

According to Reuters (via AOL):

Feb 28 (Reuters) - Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who turned the country into a powerful anti-U.S. force and extended its military influence across the Middle East while crushing repeated ‌domestic unrest, was killed in Israeli and U.S. strikes, a senior Israeli official told Reuters on ‌Saturday.

There was no immediate Iranian confirmation of his fate.

The United States and Israel carried out military strikes on Iran on Saturday, targeting ​its top leaders and plunging the Middle East into a conflict that President Donald Trump said would end a security threat to the U.S. and give Iranians a chance to topple their rulers.

Iran refused to dismantle its nuclear program, despite warnings from President Trump that their refusal would lead to consequences.

Well, it has started. The U.S. and Israel have launched air strikes against Iran.

The US and Israel launched airstrikes against Iran Saturday morning in response to the regime’s refusal to dismantle its nuclear program after weeks of negotiations —  targeting military infrastructure and Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s compound in Tehran.

The attacks — which the Department of War called “Operation Epic Fury” — follow a massive US military buildup in the Middle East and come after President Trump repeatedly warned Tehran that it would face consequences if it didn’t make a deal with the US. 

Iran then launched missiles towards Israel in a retaliatory attack as officials claimed the response would be “crushing.” 

“Our objective is to defend the American people by eliminating imminent threats from the Iranian regime,” Trump said in an eight-minute video address on Saturday.

Modest Price Gains For Gold and Silver

The week is starting out with gold and silver spot prices getting firmer.

According to Kitco News:

(Kitco News) - Gold and silver prices are firmer in early U.S. trading Monday, supported by safe-haven bids amid the Israel-Hamas war and the potential for a wider Middle East conflict. December gold was last up $5.60 at $2,004.10. December silver was last up $0.423 at $23.31.

Asian and European stocks were mixed overnight. U.S. stock indexes are pointed to higher openings when the New York day session begins. Risk appetite has upticked just a bit to start the trading week, despite Israel beginning its anticipated ground war against Hamas in Gaza. There is still the potential for this conflict to escalate to include other countries, including the U.S. That's keeping a floor under safe-haven gold and silver.

Israel-Hamas War Cause Precious Metals Rally

Gold and silver spot prices had been in the doldrums in recent weeks, but the war between Israel and Hamas seems to have kick-started them, especially gold as it is seen as the "safe haven" precious metal.

Kitco News reported:

(Kitco News) - Gold prices are solidly higher in early U.S. trading Monday, following the surprise Hamas attack on Israel over the weekend. Safe-haven demand is featured as the world has just seen an unexpected major geopolitical shock that has traders and investors spooked. December gold was las up $18.40 at $1,863.40 and December silver was up $0.047 at $21.77.

Asian and European stocks were mostly lower overnight. U.S. stock indexes are pointed to lower openings when the New York day session begins. The marketplace is unnerved following the weekend Hamas raid on Israel that killed hundreds of civilians and hostages taken. Israel retaliated harshly and declared war on Hamas. This is the largest act of violence seen in Israel in 50 years. Risk aversion is high to start the trading week, as the ramifications of the weekend attack by Hamas are huge, both politically and economically. The U.S. is building up its military presence in the Middle East region.

Currently, the COMEX price for silver is hovering around $21.82/toz. It remains to be seen if the Middle East conflict will send it up over $22.00/toz.

Biden Kills Israeli Pipeline Project

His Fraudulency has got to go. I said this at the time of the Afghanistan fiasco, but here's another argument for getting Joe Biden out of the White House.

First, he kills the needed Keystone Pipeline (wonder why gas prices are so high?) and other energy projects. Now, he's killing the gas pipeline that undercuts Israel.

The Western Journal reported:

As tensions between Russia, Ukraine, the U.S. and NATO continue, it is affecting the Mediterranean world as well as Europe’s energy sector.

The U.S. is pulling its support for an Israeli underground natural gas pipeline that would run from the eastern Mediterranean to Europe. Many are predicting this will simply cause more problems in the region.

Moreover, this decision from the Biden administration undercuts Israel, one of America’s most steadfast allies.

The Trump administration supported the EastMed Pipeline, but the Biden administration has environmental and economic concerns about the project, Reuters reported.

Two Countries Ban Gal Gadot's Newest Film

Nothing like a little stupidity for a Saturday night.

Wonder Woman Gal Gadot's newest film, Death On The Nile, is being banned by two Middle Eastern countries due to Gadot's past service in the Israeli military. 

The Blaze reported:

Two countries have banned "Death on the Nile," the latest film from Hollywood actress Gal Gadot over her previous service in the Israeli military.

Lebanon and Kuwait, both Muslim majority Middle East countries, cited Gadot's military service as the reason they were banning the movie from being shown.

Gadot once served in the Israel Defense Forces, as do most Israeli citizens since the country has a 2-year military mandate.

Her latest film is being released in the rest of the Middle East this weekend.

Covid-Era Travel Risks: Avoid Getting Stranded

Travel is most difficult now than ever before, thanks to the coronavirus and the reactions of some government to it.

Some countries are allowing travel, others (such as Israel, Morocco and Japan) have closed their borders to foreign tourists. The reactions of some countries increase the risk of getting stuck in another country.

This is the topic of an article in the Wall Street Journal.

They begin with:

 At least you can see hurricanes coming.

The new Omicron variant did more than prompt governments to quickly close borders and tighten Covid-19-related travel restrictions. It signaled that health disruptions are here to stay as a normal part of travel concerns, right along with storms, strikes and terrorism.

For travelers, this means that you must now consider a new set of risks before making your trip, especially when going abroad. Travel can spread disease. There’s also uncertainty over testing and quarantines.

If you miscalculate or misstep, or just end up in the wrong place at the wrong time, you could be stranded, perhaps for weeks. Such a high penalty may make some people change where and how often they venture away from home.

He thinks 2019 will be viewed as the high-water mark for jumping on a plane spur-of-the-moment and taking a trip to another continent without care or concern.

Travel experts say the rapid reaction of various governments increases the risk of getting stuck in another country. It also appears to be the new standard procedure for any kind of new health risk.

Wonder Woman Star Gal Gadot Under Attack For Tweet

Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot has come under fire for Tweeting her support for Israel in the current fight with Hamas. Actually, she came out for peace between the two sides.

Hamas has been indiscriminately firing rockets into Israel over the past several days.

Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot has received a backlash online over her tweet about the escalation of violence in Israel and Gaza.

The Israeli actress and former Miss Israel posted: "Israel deserves to live as a free and safe nation," adding: "Our neighbours deserve the same."

The comments attracted thousands of replies - now switched off - leading to her name trending on Twitter.

In her youth, Gadot completed two years of mandatory military service.

"My heart breaks," the 36-year-old posted online.

"My country is at war. I worry for my family, my friends. I worry for my people. This is a vicious cycle that has been going on for far too long.

"I pray for the victims and their families. I pray for this unimaginable hostility to end, I pray for our leaders to find the solution so we could live side by side in peace. I pray for better days."

While some high-profile people, including US politician Ted Cruz, praised Gadot for her remarks, many others reacted angrily.

She was criticised by supporters of the Palestinian cause, who pointed to her service in the Israeli military.

I, for one, am a supporter of Israel and a fan of Gal Gadot.

Gas Pipeline Cyber-Hack, A Russian Operation

A few minutes ago, I returned from taking The Beast (my 2015 Minnie Winnie motorhome) to the Flying J to fill up its fuel tank.

It was a good thing that I did. The price for unleaded regular was $2.999/gallon. Thankfully, my Good Sam membership gets me a five cent per gallon discount, so my price was $2.949/gallon. As I have to take The Beast into Gallup tomorrow for service and will have to go to Albuquerque next week, I figured I'd better get gas now before the price goes into California gas price territory.

I learned today that the Colonial gas pipeline cyber-hack was done by the Russians. Specifically, a crime group called "Dark Side". They may or may not be tied to the Russian government. 

Commentator Larry Kudlow said that unless the pipeline is back in operation by Friday, "All bloody hell will break loose!" He sees this as a test of His Fraudulency Joe Biden. Notice that Hamas is suddenly attacking Israel? The timing is too much of a coincidence. They see Biden as weak and are testing him. When President Trump was in office, they didn't dare.

The gasoline shortage mainly affects the east coast, but prices are starting to climb here in New Mexico.

Democrats Made Their Own Infanticide, Socialist and Anti-Semite Labels

When the Democrats are called out for what they are, they and their media lackeys just can't stand it.

For weeks, Democrats such as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Sen. Bernie Sanders and many others came "out of the closet" and proclaimed their socialism and others, such as Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam among many, have supported late-term abortions as well as infanticide after "botched" abortions. Senate Democrats defeated a bill that would allow for medical aid for babies born alive after such botched abortions.

Some Democrats have been openly hostile to the state of Israel and Jews in particular.

The New York Times whined:

WASHINGTON — In the 116th Congress, if you’re a Democrat, you’re either a socialist, a baby killer or an anti-Semite. 

That, at least, is what Republicans want voters to think, as they seek to demonize Democrats well in advance of the 2020 elections by painting them as left-wing crazies who will destroy the American economy, murder newborn babies and turn a blind eye to bigotry against Jews. 

The unusually aggressive assault, which Republican officials and strategists outlined in interviews last week, is meant to strangle the new Democratic majority in its infancy. It was set in motion this month by President Trump, who used his State of the Union address to rail against “new calls to adopt socialism in our country” and mischaracterize legislation backed by Democrats in New York and Virginia as allowing “a baby to be ripped from the mother’s womb moments before birth.” 

Then last week, Republicans amped it up, seizing on a Twitter post by a freshman representative, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, which even some Democrats condemned as anti-Semitic, and ridiculing the “Green New Deal,” an ambitious economic stimulus plan unveiled by Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a self-described democratic socialist. Suddenly even Jewish Democrats were abetting anti-Semitism and moderate Democrats in Republican districts were Trotskyites and Stalinists.

They can't handle it because the Republican attacks are all true! If the shoe fits, wear it! They moved to the far-left since Trump's election.

Now they're complaining, but the funny part of all of this is that they brought it all upon themselves!

Rep. Brad Sherman: "Stuck On Stupid"

Anyone watching yesterday's hearing featuring former FBI Director James Comey would have noticed a bald man resembling Phil Silvers sitting behind him. That man was the Democrat who "represents" my congressional district, Brad Sherman.

Regular readers of this blog are aware that I have a few issues with ol' Brad, even though I supported him over Howard Berman a few years ago during their reapportionment-caused face-off.

Now, Brad Sherman and his fellow came up empty yesterday from James Comey. That's not stopping ol' Brad. He wants to impeach President Trump! I would have hoped that he had a lot more sense than that. He apparently doesn't.

Sherman, who is Jewish, is ignoring the fact that President Trump has been a great friend to the state of Israel and was very warmly welcomed to Israel by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a recent visit. That apparently doesn't mean a thing to Sherman.



According to Forward.com (a Jewish website):

Rep. Brad Sherman announced on Wednesday that he would join a nascent congressional effort to draft articles of impeachment against President Trump. 

Sherman, a 10-term Democrat who represents parts of Los Angeles and its suburbs, joined Rep. Al Green of Texas in a press conference to announce their plan to oust the president on the grounds of obstruction of justice.

What obstruction of justice? Are Sherman and Green out of their minds?

Whether you agree or disagree with President Donald Trump, Congressman Sherman's actions in drawing up articles of impeachment is the biggest waste of time and money. It also provides proof that this congressman does not understand the law. 

In today's Senate hearings there was no proof offered of any laws broken by the President. Congressman Sherman is a disgrace to the very institution he's serving in and has absolutely no understanding of the law. 

The Democrats have fallen flat on their faces and now Sherman wants to bury himself in a political stunt. 

The district Sherman represents has several emergent issues that need attention now but this congressman is stuck on stupid and is engaging in childish political games.

Godless Democrats Apply "Chicago Rules" On Voice Vote

The Democratic National Convention (a.k.a. Freakshow 2012) is in turmoil after the platform was adopted without God being mentioned and any reference to Jerusalem as the capital of Israel was dropped.

They made matters worse when a voice vote was ordered on the convention floor to amend the adopted platform to include God and referencing Jerusalem as Israel's capital after the GOP hit hard.

Convention Chairman Antonio Villaraigosa had to call for three votes, each requiring 2/3 "yea" votes to pass.   By no stretch of the imagination did a vote come to the required 2/3 vote in the affirmative.  Yet Villaraigosa then adopted "Chicago rules" and ruled the amendment passed.  This caused an uproar on the convention floor with many delegates booing the convention chairman.

This is, as talk-show host Hugh Hewit noted:

A true debacle and revealing on so many levels --the precariousness of the Jewish vote, the genuine anti-Israel sentiment on the floor, and the disregard for the rules when inconvenient.

Romney's Overseas Trip A Triumph

If one is relying just on the biased reporting by the liberal mainstream media, one would conclude that GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney's overseas trip was a failure.  One recent survey found that the MSM's reporting on the Romney campaign has been 86% negative.

Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer has an article analysing Romney's trip.  He declares it "a triumph."  Here's some passages from the article:

The Warsaw leg was a triumph. Romney’s speech warmly embraced Poland’s post-communist experiment as a stirring example of a nation committed to limited government at home and a close alliance with America abroad, even unto such godforsaken war zones as Afghanistan and Iraq, at great cost to itself and with little thanks. 

And at his previous stop, Jerusalem, Romney’s speech was a masterpiece of nuance and restraint. Without directly criticizing Obama, Romney drew pointed distinctions deftly expressed in the code words and curlicued diction of Middle East diplomacy. 

Look at how Romney was received. In Israel, its popular prime minister lavished on him a welcome so warm as to be a near-endorsement. In Poland, Romney received an actualendorsement from Lech Walesa, former dissident, former president, Cold War giant, Polish hero.  

Scorecard? Romney’s trip was a major substantive success: one gaffe (Britain), two triumphs (Israel and Poland) and a fine demonstration of foreign-policy fluency and command — wrapped, however, in a media narrative of surpassing triviality.

Israeli officials say they won’t warn the U.S. if they decide to launch a pre-emptive strike against Iranian nuclear facilities, according to one U.S. intelligence official familiar with the discussions. The pronouncement, delivered in a series of private, top-level conversations, sets a tense tone ahead of meetings in the coming days at the White House and Capitol Hill.

Israeli officials said that if they eventually decide a strike is necessary, they would keep the Americans in the dark to decrease the likelihood that the U.S. would be held responsible for failing to stop Israel’s potential attack. The U.S. has been working with the Israelis for months to persuade them that an attack would be only a temporary setback to Iran’s nuclear program.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak delivered the message to a series of top-level U.S. visitors to the country, including the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the White House national security adviser and the director of national intelligence, and top U.S. lawmakers, all trying to close the trust gap between Israel and the U.S. over how to deal with Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

Netanyahu Rebukes Obama

President Obama's speech the other day, on the eve of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's visit, calling for Israel to return to its pre-1967 borders caused a major political firestorm.

Today, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejected Obama's call for a return to pre-1967 borders at the White House with Obama present.

Accordng to Reuters:

In an unusually sharp rebuke to Israel's closest ally, Netanyahu insisted Israel would never pull back to its 1967 borders -- which would mean big concessions of occupied land -- that Obama had said should be the basis for negotiations on creating a Palestinian state.

"Peace based on illusions will crash eventually on the rocks of Middle East reality," an unsmiling Netanyahu said as Obama listened intently beside him in the Oval Office after they met for talks.

Obama's radical position on the Israeli-Palestinian issues will likely cause him major political problems in his re-election campaign. American Jews could decide to vote for the pro-Israel Republican presidential candidate over Obama in 2012 and withhold campaign contributions from Obama and the Democratic Party.

According to Newsmax.com:

One of the nation’s most influential Democrats, former New York Mayor Ed Koch, tells Newsmax.TV that Israel is facing its “most dangerous and critical period,” and warned he may cross party lines in 2012 and vote against Pres. Obama. Koch said, “This is the most dangerous and critical period that Israel has ever faced and regrettably it does not have the support of the president of the United States.”

Frankly, it is my opinion that any Jew who contributes to or votes for President Obama would be, in effect, a traitor to Israel.
