Thundershowers Tonight

It looks like we are probably going to have thundershower activity tonight and tomorrow in Fort Sumner, New Mexico.

We already had some sprinkles this afternoon.

According to the National Weather Service:

Juneteenth

Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a steady temperature around 87. Southeast wind around 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Tonight

Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 9pm, then scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly between 9pm and midnight. Some of the storms could be severe. Low around 65. Southeast wind 15 to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Thursday

Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 81. South wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

It was forecast that we have a 30% chance of rain.

Well, it has arrived. It has started sprinkling along with gusty winds.

This Afternoon

Isolated showers and thunderstorms, then scattered thunderstorms after 3pm. Areas of blowing dust after 3pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 61. Windy, with a west wind 25 to 30 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Tonight

Mostly clear, with a low around 30. Blustery, with a northwest wind 20 to 25 mph decreasing to 10 to 15 mph in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph.

Wednesday

Sunny, with a high near 60. West wind 10 to 15 mph becoming north in the afternoon.

Wednesday Night

Mostly clear, with a low around 34. North wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light and variable.

Thursday

Sunny, with a high near 69. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming northwest 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon.

 

A Storm Is Coming

Thunderstorm clouds are moving into the area west of Albuquerque where I'm at the Route 66 RV Resort is located.

It is presently around 88° outside. Since we should be getting possible heavy rain, I put away my camp chair and closed up the awning (it is getting windy out). 

I am relaxing with the roof air conditioner on (it needed a workout anyway, I last ran it a few days ago with the generator). 

Jessica is now boarding her flight to Albuquerque. She gave me a call a little while ago.
