Painting Reaction

My "honorary sister" Diane can't attend the October 2 portrait unveiling at the Odyssey Restaurant due to a schedule conflict.

However, since we are so close (she's been a big help these past few months), I sent her a photo of the painting (very few people have seen it, so far).

Her reaction:

She [Asya] did a fantastic job!  You shine with intelligence, wisdom, and class!  I also like that she made you look vaguely Oriental around the eyes like maybe your interest in the area has permeated your being.  The emphasis on the reflection in the eyes in such sharp relief from the muted background, is truly amazing!  She is an excellent artist!

I passed her note on to Asya. It should make her day!


UPDATE (11:40): I just got off the phone and she said Diane's praise "made my day!"
