Another Platrix clampout is over and now history.
It was an enjoyable weekend on the Keene Ranch near the Tehachapi Loop. I made it through (barely), despite bronchitis. But I had my meds with me. Saturday was the toughest day as I felt rundown and napped a lot. It was probably the combination of the meds and two brandy Alexanders. At least I revived enough for the barbecue dinner Saturday night.
I also managed to catch up (a little) on my reading as I made it half way through Walter Lord's Day of Infamy book on the Pearl Harbor attack.
One enjoyable thing was sitting out at dusk and watching bats flying around. Some got pretty close by and we were able to see them clearly.
Below are some photos of the weekend. Next weekend will be with the Billy Holcomb Chapter out near Calico Ghost Town. Hopefully, I'll be feeling better by then.
