While I was in Iowa last week, I had a local nurseryman/arborist come over to take a look at my pine tree in the front yard.
He looked over the tree and reported that it has mites, not bores (i.e., bark beetles). They carry a product called 38 Plus that should take care of the problem.
As they are closed on Sundays, I'll have to go into Gallup tomorrow and pick up some 38 Plus.
Hopefully, the freezing temperatures we've been having at night will help the tree.

Amazon has it at $40 a bottle. They cannot ship it to California. I wonder why?
I got a bottle for $40 at a Gallup nursery yesterday.
