Have Passport, Will Travel

After a little over two weeks, my new U.S. Passport arrived in the mail.

As passports go, this one is a lot more attractive than my old one.  In the new one, there are quotes by noted Americans (Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy, Dwight Eisenhower, etc.) and scenes of Americana.  Scenes include saguaro cacti in the southwestern desert, the Grand Tetons, Independence Hall, American bison and bald eagles, Mount Rushmore, a riverboat, farmland, steam locomotive, a Kodiak bear and totem pole and the Statue of Liberty.

I didn't pay for expedited service, so I am impressed at how fast the State Department got the new one to me.
